A word about the difference between a PARTS MANUAL versus a PARTS BOOK:
1.) Parts Manuals are about 93.5 square inches vs. 54 square inches for most parts books. The parts manual is nearly twice as big. This means larger, easier to read type and larger diagrams. This is very helpful under working conditions where sweat and fatigue are often a factor. (Also helps if you are an old operator that needs reading glasses like me!)
2.) Parts Manuals also contain memoranda pages, great for making notes while repairing a machine and making references for future repairs. Is also great for making notes if a modification has been made to a particular machine. Parts books do not contain memoranda pages.
When you bought a CATERPILLAR, you chose the better machine instead of the cheaper product... the PARTS MANUAL is the better tool. You get what you pay for!!
