This Antenna is very strong. It is made of number 12 gauge, industrial grade, 19 strand copper wire.
It is very light...weighting less then 2 pounds. So it is easy to put up and keep up.
It uses special light weight, black UV resistant insulators, Coupled with the thin profile black wire, makes the CondoBuster very difficult to see.
You feed it with regular 50 ohm coax.
We recommend using RG-58 or RG-8X coax.
It works great with just the antenna tuner in your transceiver or an external tuner...you can use a balun if you wish.
The antenna arrives completely assembled and ready to go. All you do is attach your coax or other feedline, put it up and start transmitting.

It is designed to be at least 8 feet off the ground...but the higher the better. .
The CondoBuster is made of very high quality, industrial grade, 19 strand copper wire. This wire makes a fantastic antenna because of the amount of surface area (skin effect) available for transmitting and receiving signals. The more surface area you have the more gain and the more broad banded your antenna will be.
The antenna design is based on the off center fed dipole developed by the Swiss Military.
