Antique plow - farm tools- walking plow- cast iron


The plow has several marks- There is the makers name on 1 side .There are Patent dates and "Stonewall"..... I can't make out some of the letters but the dates appear to be: Sept. 17, 1912 and April 21, 1914. On one side there is an arrow trademark going through the letter 'S'. The plow is also marked on the bottom with S.R. Whites sons, Norfolk, Va.
It is in Excellent condition. There are no cracks, damage , welds or repairs.
Solid Cast Iron. It weighs about 30 lbs. 22" X 16" at the widest points.
This plow is listed in the Encyclopedia of American Farm Implements 1800s - 1950.
The S.R. Whites & sons Co. Is also listed on page 288 of The Annual Report of the Secretary of the Commonwealth to the Governor and General Assembly of Virginia, Year ending Sept. 30, 1913.
