The camera is compact and lightweight which captures the fundus image through the natural mydriasis in dark conditions, or anterior segment of eye by the video capturing system without mydriatic. As the infrared illumination light is used during alignment, and an image is captured by the infrared video system, the load of patient's eye is mitigated. Secondary, as the highly sensitive CCD picture element enables operators to capture images with less flash intensity, the unwanted shock to the patient eye is substantially reduced.
