IMPRES batteries, when used with an IMPRES charger, provide automatic, adaptive reconditioning, end of life display, and other advanced features. Data is stored in the battery and communicated to the charger via a unique IMPRES communication protocol which is designed to maximize talk time and optimize battery cycle life all automatically. Batteries may also be used in non-IMPRES charger, however they will act as normal batteries and you will not receive the benefits of smart charing.

The IMPRES charger combines three units in one: a rapid charger, a conditioning charger and when necessary a reconditioner. Batteries are warranted for an additional 6 months as compared to their non-Impres counterparts, showing how confident Motorola is that the technology is far superior to legacy charging systems.
The recommended single-unit charger for use with this battery is the WPLN4111AR - IMPRES Single Unit Charger. Also compatible with multi-unit XTS series IMPRES rack chargers (display and non-display models).
