(VALUE 101: The true value in a good quality set of longhorns is in the TRUE length "with" the curl. The lesser the curl, the lesser the price of the horns...a true collector will want to see whether or not the set twists up & out. A set that is just "straight" is not as desirable no matter how long it is. Another way to judge a good set of horns is to notice how "wide" the mounter has made the centerpiece. You will see some horns listed that include a centerpiece that's as wide as the actual horns themselves. They do this in order to make an amateur "think" they're getting a longer set. Coloring also factors into the grade. We grade our sets out according to these criteria & while they are ALL outstanding specimens, the prices are reflective of these criteria. It just depends on what you're looking for!
