This Power electron tube was developed primary for navy and submarine transmitters uses. In transmitter "PLAMYA" ("FLAME"-engl.) it is used 10xGU-84B tubes. Probably after lost of any radio communications at Russian submarine K-19 has accident in 1962. These GU-84B tubes and Sockets remain are efficient even after impact of underwater nuclear explosion.
