First let's start with the basics, I'm not going to lie to you and say this is an industrial machine, it is not. A industrial machine is first seperate from the table, motor, bobbin winder, light, and thread holder in general (we have many variations); what you have is just the head of a machine (you generally have several components that make up an industrial set up). I have myself taken these older machine and set them up like this, but I still don't consider them all around industrial, and their are many reasons for this for example an industrial machine will generally take much larger needles than a house hold machine and it can handle higher speeds with a faster stitch. I have seen others set them up this way as well and they will consider it industrial? But, I'm not going to get into an argument or debate on who's right or wrong, I'm just going to tell you what I know. Note: I did put industrial strength in the title and that is because I do believe these old machines have the strength as they were made of all cast iron or steel.
With that out of the way we'll do a brief history, I have been sewing for about 15 years now and have been maintaining my own machines off and on for about 10 years. I am not a factory trained or certified anything! I am just your average guy who liked sewing and especially sewing leather goods. After several costly trips to local sewing repair men I was introduced to a man who has taught me a lot about machines and continues to teach and help me. He on the other hand is factory certified and trained to maintain all name brand machines. He has over 45 years experience now in the trade and is semi retired. I still say he's doing it fulltime just with out the store front since he has over 100 machines in his garage at any given time to repair or maintainence. I have been very fortunate to have him as a friend, mentor, teacher, and at times constructive critic.
Me being the type of person who doesn't like to be told I can't afford it or it's not for sale when you just told me everything was for sale stubbornly or foolishly paid very close to my asking price after much effort and hounding on my part. I took the machine home and disassembled her cleaned her up, rewired her, and put her all back together and timed her. I have sewed leather of different types and thicknesses with her as well as linings and other various projects. This machine holds her timing well and for a very long time, with the proper care this machine will last another 60 + years.
I guarantee complete satisfaction with this machine. If you are experienced in the slightest you should be able to sew very well with this machine. I have had beginners sew absolute beautiful projects on this one. I do however not cover driver error or frustration due to incorrect operation or lack of knowledge. This machine will be packed with the up most care as I do love this machine and hate to see her go, but being that I have over 60 different machines, I must sell a few, so I can get new ones. I have pictures and many projects that will leave me with very fond memories of the old girl.
Notice below has expired, add is in final stages! I don't play games with my machines or wait for a long time for quality machines to sell!
