Vtg 1942 coleman electric co. electrometer model 3DPH
VINTAGE 1942 COLEMAN ELECTRIC COMPANY ELECTROMETER MODEL 3D pH WITH DIRECTIONS. An electrometer is a device used to measure the charge or potential difference of electricity. It is essential in finding the voltage between 2 places in the electrical circuit. Not sure how or if it works. THIS IS THE LAST RUNNING FOR THIS.
On the tag it says, "Inst. No. 3263, Model 3D, Coleman Electric Co. Inc; Maywood, Ill. Pat.Pend." It measures in D.C. Milliamperes. The leather handle is in good shape. The case measures almost 12" x 7 1/2" x 9 1/2"Tall. The box is in good condition with 2 small cracks in the wood. Case opens fine. The hinge is a little rusty. The tag on the handle is hard to read. All that I can make out is Harshaw Scientific 10-5-42. Boxed up, it weights 13.9 lbs.I am not sure if it works or not.
