1908 radio wireless book tesla contributes super rare
This really does belong in a Nikola Tesla museum...or an early radio museum...or in a great private collection.
Apart from the discolored cover, the book is in quite nice shape for being 102 years old and so very rare. The binding is tight, I see no underlining or notes, and I'd say it is a 7 or 8 apart from the cover, which is stained.
I could only find one other First Edition on the internet and it was $1550. It is very hard to arrive at a value for something this rare, but I have it priced fairly I think. I might be interested in trading it for rare microphones if you have any.
The full title is Wireless Telegraphy and Telephony Popularly Explained, meaning the authors are gearing it to beginners. Many wonderful photos of early equipment. There are 7 Chapters and 26 subchapters, plus an interview by the authors with Tesla called "The Future of the Wireless Art." The first photo is, of course, Tesla's building.
1. The Secret of the Wireless Telegraphy
3. Principle and Theory of Wireless Telegraphy
4. Synchronous Wave Motion and Tuning
d. Production of Oscillatory Discharge
g. Tuning the Transmitting Aparatus
b. Development of Wireless (wonderful stuff here)
8. The Uses of Wireless Telegraphy
9. Possiblilites and Abuses of Wireless Telegraphy
This 1908 First Edition is 76 pages long, with many photos. It belongs in a museum...will it be yours?
