IC Socket Pin Replacement for IC Socket by Molex
This handy replacement IC socket pin(s) will be sold in a roll of 500 pins.
Each time you discover a defective IC, ever notice NEVER are they placed in a socket? Problem is the cost of the socket. This handy pin solves the problem easily and expensively.
Simply cut the pins to the appropriate size, (8-pin, 14-pin, 16-pin, 24-pin etc)
Plug the replacement IC into the socket pins.
Replace in the un soldered holes and re solder all pins.
When you have soldered all pins, break the top carrier on each side.
You have a replacement socket the exact size required.
How many times do you replace a removed IC with a socket to discover the silk screen printing is covered? Again, these handy pins may be cut to any size, and will cover nothing.
