Presented here is a 250 mL retort.
The chemists retort is commonly utilized for simple distillations. It is also the apparatus of choice for the preparation of nitric acid from sulfuric acid and a nitrate.
These retorts are hand blown and fabricated from borosilicate which is ideal for laboratory applications. They will withstand nearly all temperatures used within laboratory settings and are highly resistant to chemical, mechanical and thermal shock.
The tripod pictured is not a secure support apparatus.
