You are looking at an IPL (intense pulsed light) machine by Lumenis. This is the Lumenis One. It was manufactured in May 2006. This machine was in use in a med spa that closed approximately one year ago. This machine is fully operational and has 19, 644 pulses on it.
The Lumenis One is a mulit-application, multi-technology system with four treatment heads. This machine has one head ( the Universal Intense Pulsed Light treatment head), but is expandable to include the other heads by separate purchase from Lumenis.
With the Universal Intense Pulsed Light treatment head, you can treat vascular and pigmented lesions, leg veins, hair removal and IPL skin treatments through the process of photorejuvenation, and for the treatment of wrinkles and rhytids.
The Universal Intense Pulsed Light treament head uses a wavelength range of 515 to 1200 nm.
The IPL treatment head incorporates a cooling mechanism that provides continuous contact cooling to the treatment area.
The Lumenis One is designed to provide flexibility in choosing the wavelength, pulse width and pulse sequence, to enable treatment of lesions without damaging the surrounding tissue.
The Lumenis One system consists of the following: the system console, the operator control manual, the monitor with touchscreen and one treatment head. The system is continually monitored and controlled by its internal computer, selected parameters and user infomation are displayed on the monitor screen.
Also included are marketing materials and protective eyewearfor the user and patient.
