These fillers are supplied as a set of light; medium, or dark to enable the end user to get a reasonable match to their substrate in order to hide any blemish. They should always be used at least 2 at a time as a blend to create a good base colour as close to the original as possible. Then the darkest of the 4 should be used to try to create a bit of 'colour movement' by replicating the grain through the base filler.

This set of 8 softwax sticks are approx, 4 cms long and should give a good range of colours to aid repairing many different pieces of furniture around the house. Usually best applied with a palette knife or similar, the idea is to blend 1,2 or 3 colours into a scratch to help get the correct colour of the wood. This is why having more colours is helpful when trying to make a repair invisible. The 8 colours have been selected from the range to give a good mix of the colours found in everyday furniture.
