Guardian G3800 Thermostatic Mixing Valve NEW IN BOX
The Guardian Equipment G3800 tempering valve is used to control the water temperature in emergency eye/face washes, drench hoses and safety showers. It delivers tepid (moderately warm or lukewarm, typically 60 to 90 F (15 to 32 C)) water per ANSI standard Z358.1-2004 by blending cold and hot water. This valve manages flow capacities of 3.0 to 44 gallons per minute (GPM) and can be used with a one or more emergency showers, eye/face washes, drench hoses, or safety station units (consult your owner's manuals for individual flow requirements).
The valve has a bimetallic thermostat that senses incoming water temperature and automatically blends water to 85 F (29 C) with a temperature limit stop of 90 F (32 C). This valve has a dial thermometer on the outlet to monitor the temperature of the delivered water. It also features a fail safe mechanism. In the event of restriction or failure of the hot water supply, an internal bypass allows the valve to deliver 20 GPM of cold water at 30 PSI. If the cold water supply is lost, the valve will close and not deliver water.
