Nanostrata straosequence v sequencer slide dipper coat

According to the information on the manufacturer's website, , this machine performs the following three applications:
1. Layer Thin Films By Rotary Sequential Dipping: "Designed for polyelectrolye multilayers, you can spin wafers, glass sides, or any sample on our specially designed holder to get the best coating with faster deposition"
2. Slide Dipping: "Our product can also be used as a conventional Slide Dipper. we have designed a special sample holder which allows you to dip up to 4 glass slides at a time"
3. Spin coating: "If spin coating is what you do, this machine will allow you to produce multilayered coatings. You can have up to four different types of solution to spin onto your substrate.
This machine appears to consist of the following:
* A free-spinning platform on an elevating pushrod which indexes by mechanical action of guide-pins. Platform has eight positions for solution/rinse containers.
* A stand for mounting sample-holders.
* An electric motor (currently mounted to stand) to which sample-holders may be attached for spin-coating.
* A resovoir/pump for filling containers.
* An air nozzle for blow-drying dipped samples. (requires external 50 PSI air)
We found the following problems with this unit:
* Samp Spinning motor is not original. The original motor has been removed and another motor hack-wired in its place. Since the original motor also had tachomoter features, this leaves several wires hanging loose on the harness.
* We are not able to test this item because we lack interface cables and control software. These cables and software need to be acquired from NanoStrata Inc. for use of this unit.
* When connected to 50 PSI air pressure, nothing happens. We do not know why, it could be waiting for control input from the computer, or it could be actually broken. We can't tell which because we don't have the software.
