Invacare Electric Hospital Bed 2009 This bed is VERY CLEAN, VERY NEW AND HAS SEEN VERY LITTLE USE!! My 15yr old had spinal fusion to correct his deformity. Success!! He used the bed for maybe 10 days and has since returned to his own bed. Honestly, I don't think we would have made out very well without it... This bed allowed for ease of changes in positioning; head up or down, legs up or down, or both adjusted at the same time... optional use of the air chambered mattress is helpful for those worried about bed sores but we did not use the air mattress at all. No rails or manual. You can get the instruction manual online, but it's easy to put together. Has locking wheels, flip up bar at the bottom keeps mattress in place due to adjusting abilities.
That said, the bed is a fully electric motorized bed with push button hand control and moves VERY SMOOTH (better than the ones he had in the hospital). It does come with hand crank in case of power outage. I also have a foam, vibrating, switch operated wedge that he did not use at all, a plastic zip cover for mattress(use when you move to keep clean), and a padded mattress cover w/a slit in the side to put the hand control cord through(making it easy to find).
Oop- wanted to let you know that I picked this bed up using my Chevy Blazer; bed breaks down into two sections, put extras in, mattress on top & was good to go-
