Coopervision single phase 6 + watt argon laser system

COOPERVISION 7500 SINGLE PHASE 220VAC 6000 Mw 6 WATT ARGON BLUE LASER SYSTEM
EXCELLENT CONDITION IN ALL RESPECTS. LOOKS GREAT. WORKS GREAT.
6+ Watt Argon Laser System OPERATES ON READILY AVAILABLE SINGLE PHASE 240VAC!
Wheeled surgical delivery system.
Requires accessory microscope system and fibre-optic transfer system for surgery use (NOT included).
Aiming beam and precise time and power, footswitch controlled. With MANUAL.
Condition: Very little use. All functions operating at or above specs.
Perfect mate for existing microscope delivery system
(sale for this use requires FDA clearance of your medical authorization).
Alternatively, it can be used for hi-control of a single-phase 6 watt Argon laser.
Rough power equivalent in conventional light: 1mw laser light = 1000 watts incandescent light.
6 watts laser = 6,000,000 watts of incandescent light energy.
BELOW: REAR MORE INFORMATION BELOW
BELOW: INTERIOR BEAM CONTROL APPARATUS
BELOW: FRONT PANEL OPEN, REVEALING LASER POWER SUPPLY CONTROLS. NOTE THE DUTY CYCLE INDICATED. POWER LEVELS OF 7-8 WATTS (7000-8000 Milliwatts) have been obtained for very short periods. Actual output depends on current level selected, how well the laser is tuned in the environment it is operating in, how clean the optics are, etc. Your mileage may vary. The output stated is to indicate what is possible with this laser system. Your expertise and experience will determine actual output as much as anything.
BELOW:240 VAC SINGLE PHASE INPUT. This makes this laser system usable where three-phase lasers cannot be. The trade-off is that not as much total current is available, so the tube must operate at the indicated duty cycle. Operation at 15 AMPS (maximum is 35) can be CONTINUOUS. Output at this level current level can be as high as 2500 Milliwatts, depending on factors mentioned above. Typical would be just over 1000 Mw.
WATER-COOLED, WITH QUICK DISCONNECTS. Requires a couple of gallons flow per minute. It responds well to a properly designed CLOSED WATER SYSTEM to conserve water and make the system self-contained.
BELOW: ELECTRICAL CONTROLS, including DELIVERY FootSwitch. Note: the system incorporates interlocks that are designed to be used in conjunction with an external microscope delivery system. The interlock system prevents full operation unless properly connected to a safe delivery system. We will not bypass these, so if you are planning to adapt this laser to another purpose, you're on your own, however schematics and manual are included.
BELOW: The FRONT PANEL CONTROLS. Note there is an aperature for calibration of the fibre optic delivery wand (not included) in the lower left hand corner. The other controls primarily affect beam intensity, pulse rate and duration. The laser itself can be set for continuous operation, or "chopped" with these controls. Again, actual beam emits from below the access door visible in the upper left corner of the photo below, but only if required interlocks (including those of external, not provided, delivery system) are properly connected. Safety interlocks can be bypassed for servicing.
BELOW: THE OUTPUT COLOURS OF THE INCLUDED ARGON GAS ION LASER ARE BLUES AND GREENS. DEPENDING ON OPTICS USED, THESE CAN BE SIMULTANEOUSLY OR SINGLY OBTAINED. NOTE THE "GREEN BEAM" SWITCH ADJACENT TO THE CALIBRATION PORT.
BELOW: THE PULSE DURATION, MODE AND OTHER CONTROLS
B BELOW: LOW (RELATIVELY) INTENSITY AIMING BEAM CONTROL, AND MAIN LASER POWER OUTPUT CONTROL.
IT'S A LOT OF LASER! AND RARE, IN THE ABILITY TO CREATE 6000+ MILLI-WATTS OUTPUT WITH SINGLE-PHASE AC POWER SUPPLY.
