Triad s-47Z 70 volt ln electronic audiotransformer

Division of Litton Precision Products
I don't know anything about this transformer except that this is new old stock that been in a controlled environment storage for about 25 years. This is brand new in the box and never used with instructions included. What is on the lable on the outside of the box is. S-47Z 70 Volt Line Transformer, .5/1/2/4/8 watts to 4/8/16 OHM Secondary, Vertical Channel Mounting.
On line this transformer is going for about 160.00. I have reduced the price to sale. Get this while you can as the price will go up with the others.
The information that is to come is on the instructions in the box. Email me if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them.
The 70.7 volt line system offers the sound engineer and technician an easy means of installing multiple speaker systems where individual speakers are to be operated at different levels, without the use of potentiometers, pads, or other attenuation devices.
These systems of audio distribution are based on the same principles with which 110 volt, 60 cps power is distributed. This system requires a low internal impedance source of constant voltage. The power used by any load on this source is determined by the impedance of the load and voltage of the source.
In audio work the principles stated above are also true. Since most speakers used in commercial audio work are of the 4, 8, or 16 ohm variety, a matching device must be used to regulate the power fed to the speakers. With a constant line voltage from the amplifier, the power fed t each speaker will be determined by the impedance of the matching device. The use of an impedance matching transformer or autotransformer is the most efficient method of accomplishing this.
The S-47Z with multiple tapped primaries and secondaries, is designed to match 70.7 volt lines for various power levels to 4,8, or 16 ohm speakers. The maximum power output available is 8 watts to the 16 ohm tap on the secondary when the primary is matched to a 625 ohm 70 volt line. Higher impedance taps to 10K ohms are supplied to match lower level 70 volt lines. For instance, if a 10,000 ohm 70 volt line were matched to the 10,000 ohm tap on the primary of the S-47Z, the power available from the 16 ohm secondary would be .5 watt.
